The Nursing Director of Critical Care insures effective unit operations by mentoring and direct line supervision on the nursing staff. As a unit leader, the Nursing Director promotes adult learning and facilitates development of a fully qualified and continuously improving staff. The Nursing Director collaborates with the quality department and other hospital leaders to redesign and lead performance improvement activities to enhance care delivery. The Nursing Director has 24 hour accountability for operational effectiveness and is responsible for planning and executing both the operational and capital budgets. The Nursing Director insures that clinical practice is evidence-based and closely aligned with the goals of our physician partners.

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited or NLN approved RN program. BSN required. Master’s preferred. Minimum of three years nursing management preferred. Cardiac nursing experience preferred. Minimum of three years critical care nursing experience required. Previous management experience required. BLS and ACLS required, Certification in specialty required. Knowledge of human resource management, program development, fiscal management skills, and familiarity with regulatory and accrediting agency standards needed.
