Responsibilities
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for assisting the Director of Human Resources with various duties and projects assigned. The Human Resources Generalist maintains all personnel files, processes employee background checks and assists with the compliance of hospital standards. Monday- Friday
RESPONSIBILITIES/STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
- Processes all background checks for candidates using iCIMS workforce
- Enters all I9 documentation into I9 remediation system
- Deletes terminated employees from HR system, stores terminated files accordingly
- Assists with New Hire Orientation duties as assigned
- Schedules interviews for Director of Human Resources
- Prepares Human Resources invoices and check requests
- Assists in the annual Open Enrollment process, special audits and surveys
- Assists Director of Human Resources with monthly reports and various projects
- Calls in Workers’ Compensation claims in a timely manner and files paperwork
- Tracks all leaves of absences, sends employees status update letters
- On a monthly basis, updates HR system, employee files, and distributes cards to employees re: CPR training, CPI training
- Inputs employee information into HR system (Lawson) as necessary (change of address, name change, etc.)
- Assists HRD with recruiting through iCIMS systems
- Maintains updated spreadsheet (“Staff Education”) for hospital staff relating to competencies/training and re-orientation
- Maintains updated spreadsheet for background checks that need to be run every two years, emails Department Heads / Supervisors with authorization form for employee to complete
- Responsible for making employee and temporary badges
- Update new hire / rehire / intern packets with new policies
- Tracks leaves of absences and sends letters to employees with their leave status from start to finish.
- Order office supplies as needed
- Send out various correspondences via U.S. mail or UPS
- Maintain cleanliness of desk
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of HR Conference Room
- Type and revise job descriptions and evaluations as needed
- Assist other departments with special projects
- Adhere to facility, department and Corporate Personnel Policies and Procedures
- Attend all mandatory facility in-services and staff development activities as scheduled
- Adhere to facility standards concerning conduct, dress, attendance and punctuality
- Support facility-wide quality/performance improvement goals and objectives
- Maintain confidentiality of facility employees and patient information

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience. HR Generalist experince a PLUS, EXCEL skills is needed, highly desired.
Experience: At least (3) year HR experience, preferably in a health care environment. Experience with Lawson HRIS systems, iCIMS, I9 processing, E-Verify, and PreCheck preferably.
Additional Requirements: Typing speed of at least 45 wpm required. May be required to work occasional overtime and must be flexible with availability.
