Kingwood Pines Hospital is a 116 bed facility located in the beautiful residential Kingwood community. We are located about 30 miles northeast of the Houston Medical Center. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services. We serve children, adolescents, and adults for psychiatric and behavioral health. The hospital also has services in intensive outpatient and partial hospital program services.

Qualifications
SUMMARY:
Kingwood Pines Hospital is seeking a talented and dynamic Information Technology (IT) Specialist. The primary responsibility for this role is to provide general on-site technical support for computer hardware, software, applications, data communications and telecom support for Kingwood Pines Hospital. They will be responsible for utilizing resources available and will work with the Coporate IS Support/Helpdesk team as needed.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Enters ACRs to obtain approval and application access for new employees, physicians and contracted labor.
- Responsible for obtaining vendor quotes and entering capital requests into the CARPAC system for IS projects and equipment.
- Responsible for entering new IS contracts into the ECM contract system.
- Responsible for coordinating approved disposal of IS/technology assets.
- Coordinates and manages hospital camera systems and telephone system.
- Ensure that local users receive all required IT services daily. Working with Senior IT Specialist for high-level issues.
- Working knowledge of Desktop and Server-based operating systems, hospital-based software, familiarity with IT industry-standard hardware, and networking equipment.
- Responds to help desk requests from local users for direct assistance.
- Assist Senior IT Specialist in managing the hospital LAN, WAN, and voice technologies
- Installs, maintains and repairs personal computer devices and programs.
- Records IT Assets in the IT Inventory database.
- Uses IT policies and procedures in solving problems and performing computer support service tasks.
- Understands and follows IT Department prioritization scheme for projects.
- Assists in maintaining IT documentation for technical configurations
- and problem resolutions.
- Assist Senior IT Specialist with implementing new software, servers, and IT processes.
- Determine and resolve problems with associated PCs, Networks, Servers, and applications as needed with senior IT specialist assistance.
- Assists hospital staff members perform functions necessary for computer system continued operations.
- Keeps abreast of new IT technologies, software, hardware, networking products.
- Quality of work is evident, legible, organized, and in good order.
- Completes work assignments timely and produces the expected amount of work. Shows that work assignments are understood by following documented IT checklists. Follow up with Senior IT Specialist any identified local IT tasks and issues.
- Be available for after-hours and on-call work for system problems as needed.
- Effectively works with IT staff members from other hospital sites in a team environment.
- Utilize time and resources effectively. (I.e., misuse of supplies, equipment, materials, or work time)
- Travel to other hospital sites (a minimum of one with the closest proximity hospital required in coordination with Senior IT Specialist
- as coverage needed)
- Keeps the Sr. IT Specialist posted with any on-site IT needs and ensuring timely resolution of issues. Other IT duties as assigned.
- Shows initiative and enthusiasm in work and can anticipate what needs to be done, proactively handle and
- resolve issues.
- Represents the IT Department to users positively at all times.
- Good organization, time management, and prioritization. Good Team player with a positive attitude.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma required.
Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science or related field of study preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum five (5) years' Information Technology (IT) support experience required.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook). Customer focused both internally and externally. Strong attention to detail. Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills. The ability to multi-task and strong written and oral communication skills are required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Current A or equivalent IT certification preferred.
Must maintain a valid driver's license in the applicable state.
Current CPR (can be obtained on-site upon employment)
Current HWC & Verbal De-Escalation (can be obtained on-site upon employment)
