Nurse Manager - Outpatient Services

Heritage Oaks Hospital is seeking a talented and dynamic Nurse Manager of Outpatient Services to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals!

Heritage Oaks Hospital is a freestanding, 125-bed acute psychiatric hospital dedicated to serving the greater Sacramento area. We provide treatment to teens, adults and seniors living with mental health challenges.

Position DescriptionThe Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of patient care and nursing practice, mental health practice, hospital policy, goals and objectives.  This position assists in contributing to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational and quality improvement efforts.

Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required.  A Bachelor’s degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management is acceptable.

Experience:  A minimum of three (3) years experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.

Licensure:  Currently licensed to practice by the California State Board of Nursing.

Additional Requirements: Thorough knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA requirements, and state regulatory requirements.  CPR certification and successful completion of Crisis Prevention Institute (C.P.I.) training.
