Nurse Supervisor (RN) Position Summary:
Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is seeking a day shift Nurse Supervisor (RN) to provide administrative and clinical supervision to all nursing department staff throughout the hospital during their assigned shift. The Nursing Supervisor promotes quality patient care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire.
Nurse Supervisor (RN) Key Responsibilities Include:
- Demonstrate leadership in organizing the delivery of patient care in an acute psychiatric setting for patients experiencing a wide range of psychiatric conditions.
- Supervise nursing department staff and regularly evaluate staff work performance.
- Make effective decisions regarding patient care in compliance with facility policies and procedures.
- Maintain communication between hospital Administration, Nursing Administration, and department leaders.
Nurse Supervisor (RN) Shift:
- Day Shift-7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Night Shift-7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Qualifications
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years inpatient nursing required. Prior experience in a and supervisory role is preferred.
Licensure: Currently licensed as an RN to practice as issued by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
Certifications: Successful completion of CPR and Handle With Care certification; certifications may be obtained during orientation.
Additional Requirements: Thorough knowledge of JCAHO, Medicare, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
