What are the responsibilities and job description for the PATIENT SITTER position at UHS?
Valley Specialty Hospital is a member of The Valley Health System, a network of six acute care hospitals that provide care for patients throughout Southern Nevada and nearby communities.
Job Description: Responsible for observing and reporting patients identified as at risk to harming themselves or others.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Previous healthcare experience preferred.
License/Certification: Current BCLS Certification. Must successfully complete Crisis Management Course within first 90 days of employement
and annually thereafter.
Other: Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service
appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department and reports
patient welfare, safety and security to RN.
