Saint Simons By-The-Sea is currently recruiting for a PT Assessment Coordinator-RN (Day Shift) for the Admissions Department. This position supports the purpose and procedures of the entire intake and admission process. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following tasks: maintaining daily census records, entering all intake and admission data into a hospital computer database, handling intake calls, completing thorough intake assessments, determining appropriate levels of care with MDs, verifying insurance benefits, completing insurance pre-certifications, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with referral sources, documenting inquiry calls, and maintaining phone, assessment and EMTALA logs. Ensures that the level of treatment and clinical services is appropriate to all patient needs. Responsible for maintaining positive relationships with staff from other departments.
