Reasons Eating Disorder Center (Reasons) is seeking candidate professionals, preferably with previous experience working with eating disorders, trauma, substance use and LGBTQIA communities, to provide compassionate care to our diverse patients for our residential treatment facilities located in beautiful, intimate six-bed houses in the Pasadena, San Marino, and the Arcadia neighborhoods of the Los Angeles area.
Requirements:
- Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.
- Experience: Requires a minimum of two (2) years experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills. For a specialty program (for example, Eating Disorders) experience must be with that population. In lieu of experience specialized education and training may be acceptable.
- License: Therapist must be master’s prepared or higher.
- Additional Requirements: Per diem 24 hrs per week. Must maintain a valid driver license or ID in applicable state within 90 days of employment. Bilingual (Spanish) highly preferred.
Job Description: The Reasons Intake and Admissions Coordinator responsibilities include: maintaining knowledge of resources in the Eating Disorders field, facilitating eating disorder admissions by completing the psychodiagnostic Point of Contact phone assessments as assigned by Director of Admissions for potential patients, being familiar with APA guidelines and level of care criteria for the treatment of eating disorders, being familiar with DSM diagnostic criteria for eating disorders and co-occurring diagnoses, coordinating with referral sources for additional information to maximize admissions to all levels of care within the Reasons eating disorder programs at BHC Alhambra Hospital.
