Responsibilities
Centennial Hills Hospital is a member of The Valley Health System, a network of six acute care hospitals that provide care for patients throughout Southern Nevada and nearby communities. Located in northwest Las Vegas, the 336-bed hospital offers a wide range of healthcare services including emergency care, surgical services, cardiovascular and neurological care, women’s health, maternity and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, and specialty programs in stroke, chest pain, orthopedics, advanced wound care and hyperbaric medicine, and outpatient physical therapy.
Provides coordination of patient and staff education to support, protect, and promote breastfeeding.
Qualifications
Education Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
Experience Minimum of ten years nursing experience, at least one year in obstetric setting with focus on
the breast feeding process.
Technical Skills Demonstrate a working knowledge of the current Nevada State Board of Nursing Practice.
License/Certification Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada. Association with
professional nursing associations related to practice. Current IBCLS/IBCLC or CLC certification
required.
Other Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service
appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
