Cumberland Hall Hospital is a 97 bed, licensed, acute psychiatric hospital located in beautiful Hopkinsville, KY. Cumberland Hall features individual units for youth, adults and active duty military, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average over 1500 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Cumberland Hall Hospital.

Qualifications
Education: High school education or equivalent. Associates or Bachelors degree in a human services field preferred. Experience: Six months experience in a clerical position preferred. Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred. Knowledge: Working knowledge of medical terminology. M ust be able to read and understand English. Must be able to work with background noise and interruptions. Must have computer experience. |
3. Specific Responsibilities |
- Monitor census, staffing, scheduled admissions and discharges (minimum twice daily) to ensure the appropriate amount of staff is available for each work shift and to provide a safe, therapeutic environment for both units of the hospital.
- Prepare monthly staffing schedule via Shift House,
post schedule in pre-determined locations and communicate issues to appropriate staff. - Completes and posts daily nursing staffing sheets so oncoming nursing employees know which units to report to for their shift.
- Amend staffing schedule as requested and/or necessary to provide quality patient care.
- Responsible for finding coverage for all nursing time-off requests and call-outs.
- Responsible for tracking absenteeism.
- Coordinate staffing for program transports.
- Provide administrative support to CNO/DON and Program Manager as needed.
- Calculate lateness, Daily FTE and weekend shift reports (bi-weekly) and distribute to Program manager and CNO/DON.
- Collect and calculate program nursing time clock adjustment forms and punch detail reports.
- Work with HR and payroll teams to resolve paycheck issues.
- Attend unit staffing meetings.
- Attend nursing leadership meetings.
- Monitor the schedules of new employees and ensures their on unit orientation with a preceptor is scheduled and communicated to the new employee.
- Monitor and communicate with Nursing leadership once a new employee is ready to be scheduled independently.
- Assists with preparing NEO materials and other duties related to NEO for nursing department.
- Orders hospital supplies as needed.
- Deliver supplies to nursing units as needed
