The Utilization Review Coordinator is responsible for managing the treatment activities offered to the patient, reviewing the appropriate clinical screening of admissions, and continued stay criteria. The UR Coordinator also reviews treatment plans and interfaces with the treatment team, external case managers, managed care organizations. This position will be on a temporary basis to cover an employee out on leave.
Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health is preferred or a Nursing degree.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting. Experience in patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities.
