Overview
MASTER SCHEDULER (SIOP-2023-18643):
Bowhead seeks a Master Schedulers to join our team in providing program management support in a broad range of services to the Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program (SIOP) and assisting our US Navy clients in the execution of the SIOP mission. SIOP is chartered with modernizing the infrastructure at four public shipyards in Pearl Harbor HI, Puget Sound WA, Kittery ME, and Portsmouth VA. The Master Scheduler develops schedules in accordance with forecasts, plant and employee capacity, and new business opportunities. Plans and establishes schedules to meet customer demands. Being a Master Scheduler typically has responsibility to decide operation plans.
Responsibilities
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Manage the SIOP Program-wide Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), integrating all program and shipyard execution activities.
- Monitor and report on schedule management performance across the program.
- Support schedule-focused meetings with internal and external stakeholders and, as required, conduct what-if analysis and develop / recommend courses of action. The scheduler must be proficient with Microsoft Project software
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
This is a remote position with occasional support required at government facilities at the Washington Navy Yard. In accordance with Executive Order 14042: Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, candidates should be aware that they may be required to have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 4 plus years (4 ) professional experience scheduling or analyzing military projects
- Must be proficient with MS Project
- Project Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP), desired.
- Must be able to multi-task, manage priorities and work independently with little direction
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Confidential level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Confidential clearance at this location.
