Overview
Power Generation Mechanic(USARCENT-2022-17524-W):
Bowhead seeks a Power Generation Mechanic at Shaw AFB to help support a newly awarded contract.
The Power Generation Mechanic performs a variety of electrical trade functions (e.g., installation, maintenance, or equipment repair) for generating, distributing, or utilizing electric energy, in support of the USARCENT Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion (HHB) the at Shaw AFB.
Responsibilities
The Power Generation Mechanic must process the following requirements:
- Install or repair a variety of equipment (e.g., generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, etc.)
- Work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
- Ability to locate and diagnosis trouble in the electrical system or equipment.
- Work standard computations relating to wiring/electrical equipment load requirements.
- Ability to use a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.
- Ability to use US Army 10/20 level Technical Manuals ™ to maintain, repair, and service vehicle and equipment.
- Able to receive/have favorable National Agency Check (NACI) and obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Common Access Card (CAC).
- Possess a valid driver's license, certificates, and permits applicable for the type and class of vehicle being operated.
- Have and maintain certifications, licenses, training, and qualifications required by Department of Defense, Army, IMCOM, official guidance and directives (except for those qualifications that can only be satisfied by government training), to satisfy the requirements specified in this contract.
- Capable of performing basic mathematics.
- Physically capable of lifting no less than 25 pounds and performing work in conditions of extreme temperatures, high humidity, and blowing sand and dust.

- Must be able to lift no less than 25 pounds

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: There are currently no Security Clearance requirements for this position; however, candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check. Due to the location of this work, US Citizenship is required. Bowhead reserves the right to change this requirement if necessitated by business needs or contractual obligations.
