The Industrial Hygienist manages and implements university-wide industrial hygiene compliance programs including industrial hygiene, asbestos and lead-based paint management, laboratory safety, chemical exposure investigations and indoor air quality assessments, hearing conservation, respiratory protection, and medical surveillance. Reporting to the Executive Director of EHS, the position serves as the University subject matter expert related to industrial hygiene compliance regulations. As such, they are expected to acquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge about industrial hygiene laws and regulations pertaining to university operations and provide expert advice to leadership.
