Job Description
Our client, a software solutions Company is currently seeking a remote Accounting Manager.
Duration: 5-months
Location: REMOTE
Pay Rate: $55.00-$66.66/hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively participate in the month-end close and reporting process following the reporting calendar
- Supervise the work of accountants
- Review, analyze, and approve general ledger transactions accurately and in a timely manner
- Identify and resolve issues independently or escalate with proposed solutions
- Oversee the preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly/quarterly/semi-annual basis
- Support audits (external and internal) by providing requested materials and addressing inquiries professionally
- Provide constructive feedback to staff for process improvement, including the quality of account reconciliations
- Assist in the research and clearance of reconciling items within established deadlines
- Update desk-top procedures promptly for any changes in processes, tools, and procedures
- Maintain month-end close, reporting, and other checklists, ensuring task completion before sign-off
- Prepare and review additional supporting schedules and analyses as requested
- Communicate effectively with the accounting team and third-party service providers
- Conduct independent analysis to identify process improvement opportunities and make recommendations

- Undertake special projects as appropriate
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: BBA or BS in Accounting, MS in Accounting desirable
- CPA certification/working towards CPA certification preferred
- 7 to 9 years of previous accounting/audit experience, with 2 to 3 years in a managerial capacity
- Experience with major ERPs (SAP, Great Plains, NetSuite) strongly preferred
- Experience with Blackline strongly preferred
- Strong reporting and data querying capabilities
- Thorough knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Strong analytical skills
- Team management skills
- Detail-oriented approach; ability to maintain confidentiality; strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to take initiative and follow through on projects
- Proactive approach in recommending solutions when discussing problems
- Ability to work flexible hours (office and home) to coordinate with the team during Month-End Close/Reporting
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Certifications:
- Project management skills strongly preferred
