Job Description
We are hiring for an Human Resources Generalist that comes with manufacturing or blue collar industry experience! 3 years of full cycle recruiting and other HR disciplines required to be considered (onboarding, drug screening, paperwork processing).
Responsibilities:
- Oversee recruiting: job postings, sourcing, screening, testing, interviewing, and hiring recommendations.
- Manage recruiting via the HRIS Talent Acquisition module.
- Lead onboarding and orientation for new hires.
- Assist with union contract interpretation.
- Provide HRIS support and troubleshooting.
- Handle company communications, including preparing and distributing the weekly newsletter.
- Coordinate monthly Employee Performance Reviews in the HRIS system.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal workplace regulations.
- Complete annual compliance reports: EEO-1, VETS-4212, and Affirmative Action Plan.
- Administer the apprenticeship program, including training registrations and state compliance reviews.
- Support scheduling and administration for employee training.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards for employee training.
- Organize employee events like blood drives and flu shot clinics.
- Coordinate company involvement with local charities.
- Assist the HR Director with projects and other tasks.
- Support employee relations as needed.
- Handle employment verifications and employee badging.
- Manage employee enrollment and equipment for the company fitness center.
- Assist with front desk coverage, along with others, in the absence of the Receptionist
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field preferred
- SHRM and/or HRCI certifications preferred
- 3 years of experience in recruiting and other HR disciplines
- Working knowledge of HRIS software (Paycom experience a plus)
- Ability to safely go out onto the shop floor as necessary
- Familiarity with union contracts
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
Additional Info:
- Pay range: $70k-$93k (dependnig on experience) quarterly incentive bonus
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
- Location : 100% onsite , Saint Paul
- Type: Direct Hire
