Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Human Resources, the Corporate Learning and Development Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the organization's growing demand and commitment to developing and growing Company's talent pipeline. As part of the Human Resources team, this role will collaborate with key stakeholders to develop, coordinate, and implement L&D activities while maintaining confidentiality. The Corporate L&D Specialist will be responsible for ensuring all L&D programs and activities are designed to provide a meaningful learning experience that results in sustained behavior change that aligns with the Company's culture, values, and the strategic needs of the Company.
Essential Job Functions and Basic Duties
- In partnership with Human Resources leadership, design and deliver a comprehensive L&D framework that details a vision, objectives, primary learning needs, core delivery methods,measurement, and governance to ensure the function has a clearly well-developed roadmap for the future that is aligned with the strategic needs of the Company.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the various business units and their specific training needs and requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to assess, develop and implement learning strategies and programs in
- multiple functional areas.
- Deploy various learning methods Companywide? such as mentoring, coaching? job-shadowing? classroom training, online training, simulations, etc.
- Design, deliver/organize training materials, including e-learning courses? workshops, and other training.
- Partner with department leaders to monitor and assess the success of individual development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities.
- Collaborate with People Leaders to develop their team members through career pathing.
- Oversee the negotiation of related contracts.
- Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments, and best practices.
Qualifications
Education
- BS or BA degree in Business? Psychology or other related area; an additional certification such as CPLP a plus
Work Experience *
- 5 years of experience of working in L&D, or other relevant position.
- Significant experience with effective learning and development methods, e-learning, and platform practices.
- Experience in project management.
- Practical experience in Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Demonstrate affinity with employee learning and learning technologies.
Required Knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficiency in Adobe Captivate.
- Knowledge of effective instructional models and resources.
- Strong knowledge of the Company's operations and management.
- Thorough understanding of Company products, related technologies, and Company process.
- Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
Skills/Abilities
- Effective communication (writing, editing, and verbal) and
- influencing skills with individuals at all levels.
- Strong organizational/planning or project management skills, including the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines and/or rapidly changing priorities.
