Job Description
Medical Call Center Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedule appointments for patients for busy practice.
Must be able to work first shirt and then some evenings until 8pm or various weekends.
Receives inbound calls, schedule appointments, update patient demographics, and send the info to the physician, etc.
Obtain and enter accurate demographic information into medical software (address, telephone number, name of insurance or self-pay status).
Schedule appointment correctly - review appointment date, time, location, and provider name with caller.
Inform caller of items to bring to appointment (including insurance card, medications, office visit fee, and verification of income - if applicable).
Answer questions and offer other information, as requested, to provide patient-focused
Service patients
Make reminder calls as requested.
Make calls to reschedule appointments when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
Ability to communicate effectively on high volume of calls.
Current medical field office experience
Ability to demonstrate good customer service over the phone.
Applicant should be able to work varies hours between 730am-8pm Monday through Sunday.
This position is for 30-38 hours a week.
