UCT is looking for a talented Technician to join us in Hillsboro, OR! A Cleanroom Technician works in our Advanced Technology Cleaning Centers (ATCC)® to process our customers’ new and in-process tool chamber parts. Processes take place in a cleanroom environment. Safety is our number one priority, and some form of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is always required to avoid exposure and protect the individual. The Cleanroom Technician follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quality processes to meet the needs of our customers. He/she may receive, package, bag, inspect, and ship parts.

Technicians may achieve Levels I, II, III, IV based on certifications in various processes, adherence to the company’s Core Values, Safety, and Quality requirements, as well as appropriate competencies for the Level. See the Production Technician Level Guidelines for further information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform receiving, sorting, processing, wiping, scrubbing, masking, packaging, labeling and other processes, as needed.
  • Follows all SOPs, Lean manufacturing processes, company policies, and practices.
  • Complete training on assigned processes.
  • Perform daily organization and upkeep of assigned process area.
  • Attend monthly safety meetings and training programs.
  • Handle hazardous chemicals correctly and safely. Follow all policies and directions for safe use of and proper disposal of hazardous chemicals
  • Participation and adherence to safety program and completion of various pieces of training.
  • Must have exceptional skills at organizing tasks, efficiently managing their time, and the ability to report out achieved task goals.
  • Maintain a high degree of safety and environmental awareness through the practice of safe work habits.
  • Seeks to advance skills and learn new processes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Attention to detail a MUST
  • Able to work in cleanroom environment in full PPE
  • Ability to handle repetitive work and provide fast turn-around on production related to masking, wiping, processing parts.
  • Good verbal and written communications
  • Computer literate, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule including some weekend and evening work.
  • Must be able to wear work area gowning: hairnet and frock.
  • Maintain a high degree of safety and environmental awareness through the practice of safe work habits and 6S
  • Ability to take SPC measurements and log data
  • Computer literate, knowledge of MS Word, and Excel is preferred.

Educational/Certification:

  • High School Diploma/GED or related field preferred
  • AA degree in a Technical field or some college preferred

Work Experience:

  • 1-year experience in manufacturing processes or material handling preferred.
  • 3 years of hands-on experience preferred
  • Experience working in a clean room environment a major plus
  • Kaizen or Lean training is a major plus
  • Quality Assurance experience a plus
  • Previous experience in the Parts Cleaning industry is a major plus
  • High-Tech or Semiconductor experience a plus

  • Stand for LONG PERIODS of time
  • Lift up to 40 lbs. on a consistent basis
  • Work with hazardous chemicals daily

  • Must be able to read and comprehend directions.

Environmental Exposure:

  • Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.
  • Subject to frequent interruptions.
