Key Responsibilities
- Perform continuous telemetry monitoring to observe cardiac rhythms and detect any abnormalities.
- Assess and document patients' conditions and responses to treatments accurately and promptly.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Administer medications, monitor IV lines, and manage other medical treatments as necessary.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families about their conditions and treatments.
- Respond efficiently to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
- Ensure compliance with established protocols and procedures for telemetry monitoring and patient care.
- Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems for accurate and timely documentation.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to discussions regarding patient progress and care plans.
- Adhere to standards of nursing practice and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
- Valid RN license in the state of practice.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with significant experience in telemetry or critical care.
- Strong understanding of cardiac rhythms and experience in interpreting telemetry data.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Proficient use of electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think critically and make decisions in fast-paced and high-pressure situations.
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
