Vaccination Nurse

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Vaccination Support Nurse. In this role, you will provide essential support for vaccination programs, ensuring that patients receive timely and accurate vaccinations. Your responsibilities will include administering vaccines, educating patients, managing vaccination records, and assisting with program logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Vaccination Administration: Administer vaccines to patients according to established protocols and guidelines, ensuring accurate dosing and documentation.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about vaccination schedules, potential side effects, and the importance of vaccinations. Address any questions or concerns they may have.
• Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date vaccination records in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies. Ensure proper documentation of all vaccine administration.
• Program Support: Assist in the planning and coordination of vaccination clinics and events. Support the logistics of vaccine storage, handling, and distribution.
• Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures. Monitor patients for immediate adverse reactions post-vaccination and provide appropriate care if needed.
• Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers, administrative staff, and public health officials to ensure the smooth execution of vaccination programs.
• Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on vaccination statistics, patient outcomes, and program effectiveness. Provide feedback on areas for improvement.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in KS.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with experience in vaccination or public health preferred.

• Proficiency in administering vaccines and managing vaccination records.
• Strong patient communication and education skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of infection control procedures and safety protocols.
  
  

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

Working Conditions

• Onsite work with potential for occasional travel to vaccination clinics or community events.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed
