Job Description:

Position Overview: As a Pizzeria Cashier, you will be an essential part of our team, providing excellent customer service and ensuring efficient and accurate transactions. Your friendly demeanor and quick service will leave a lasting impression on our customers, making them feel welcome and valued.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, answer questions about the menu, and provide recommendations.

Order Processing: Accurately input customer orders into our POS system, ensuring all special requests and preferences are noted.

Cash Handling: Handle cash and card transactions, provide correct change, and maintain an organized cash register.

Phone Orders: Take phone orders and provide customers with estimated delivery or pickup times.

Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the cashier area and front-of-house clean and organized, including ensuring condiment stations are well-stocked.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and delivered promptly.

Upselling: Suggest additional items, sides, or promotions to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is a plus, but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing.
• Ability to handle cash transactions and operate a POS system.
• A friendly and approachable personality.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.
• Knowledge of the menu and ingredients (training will be provided).
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
