Director of Law Admissions

The Director of Law Admissions serves as the primary leader of law admissions processes and provides vision and oversight of the recruitment, advising, admissions, and yield management activities at the School of Law. The Director will supervise the admissions office staff in performing all designated tasks, while managing admissions data collection and reporting requirements along with analyzing law school admissions data and trends to inform strategic planning efforts. Supervision responsibilities include annual Performance Management of all law school admissions staff. As leader of the law school admissions department, the Director is the primary point of contact between the Assistant Dean for Admissions, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and the Associate Dean for Student Affairs in all matters related to Law School admissions. The Director develops and implements a comprehensive, national recruitment strategy for prospective applicants using innovative methods of recruiting talented applicants and represents the School of Law at local, regional, and national law school recruitment events. The Director counsels' prospective applicants and is the final reviewer of applications for admission to the School of Law and provides guidance in the rendering of decisions on applications as a subject matter expert and voting member of the Admissions Committee. The Director works in coordination with the Office of Communications to design admissions publications including the Viewbook and other recruitment materials across multiple platforms for prospective students. The Director will serve as the manager and liaison between the School of Law and the Law School Admission Council.The Director develops and administers the School of Law's scholarship program, in cooperation with the Director of Law Financial Aid and the School of Law Finance Office, including the selection of the scholarship award recipients, counseling students on availability of scholarships, and general financial aid matters.The Director also completes other administrative duties for the Office of Admissions as assigned. This position reports directly to the Assistant Dean for Admissions, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
