The Cultivation Technician is a member of our Grow Team. They are responsible for the execution of all front-line cultivation tasks and will be cross trained for multiple duties, including: plant scouting, tending, transplanting, feeding, defoliation, topping, flushing, inventory management and maintenance/waste management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in regular inventory and quality assurance audits.
- Responsible for overseeing marihuana plants, giving each the specialized attention it requires while maintaining a clean and organized work and growing environment.
- Must possess a good working knowledge of soils and hydroponic growing methods and must understand temperature and humidity manipulation.
- Maintain a working knowledge of plant diseases, insects, and fungi, and will implement and adhere to the company’s Integrated Pest Management (IPM) protocols.
- Must possess a developing, comprehensive knowledge of marihuana strains, including Sativa, Indica, and Hybrid.
- Responsible for performing tasks related to harvesting, trimming, drying and curing.
- Record and report data related to each process in the grower facility and weight of any excess product that is considered “waste.”
- Assist in cleaning and facility maintenance tasks including sweeping, cleaning pots or stakes, ensuring a clean and organized working environment, and sanitation of equipment while maintaining a culture of professionalism and service.
- Weigh harvested plants in their entirety to determine total plant wet weight for recording.
- Other tasks assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- State required criminal background check.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum of one year experience.
