Material Analyst

Key  Responsibilities:

• Update Inventory tracking system with incoming material from Vendors; confirm material details align with purchased material prior to entry. Issue inventory tag with specified physical warehouse location. 
• Track all material movements, warehouse to production to ensure efficient material flow, including processing any adjustments and re-issuing inventory tags that are required for traceability.
• Reconcile daily production reports to inventory system transactions. Identify, research, and correct any discrepancies.
• Reconcile daily warehouse transactions to and follow-up to resolve any differences. Research inventory discrepancies by taking appropriate steps such as  verifying any previous and/or current customer orders, adjusting inventory quantities as necessary or as appropriate, printing updated labels, and handling of damaged inventory as appropriate.
• Compile Inventory Picklists for the warehouse and production team.
• Communicate with department managers and Inventory Control Team on inventory availability and issues. 
• Conduct weekly cycle counts and assist in investigating any discrepancies.
• Assist with month end and quarterly Inventory reconsolidation.
• Ensure efficient and effective inventory management  
• Ensure compliance with all pertinent company standards and processes 
• Assist with special projects, requests, or reporting on any operational errors which impact or may impact inventory performance.
• Perform administrative functions such as typing, filing, and maintaining detailed records. Other duties as assigned.
   

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• High School diploma or equivalent 
• Strong computer literacy skills; proficiency with all Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Knowledge of inventory management procedures and general warehousing terminology and practices
• Previous experience with ERP/MERP systems is a plus. 
• Must be skilled at problem solving and have a good attention to detail
• Strong detail orientation, follow up and organizational skills.
• Excellent math and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
