As a Digital Media & Content Lead for Sundial and Unilever Hair brands, you’ll help lead and shape the thinking around how to drive the core business and innovate to grow eCommerce performance. You will be a part of the Digital Commerce team for Beauty & Personal Care and will help to take the eCommerce Consumer experience to new heights.
You will be a be a key force driving the engagement and conversion between the always-on consumer and our always-on brands to drive growth in this exciting and fast paced environment.
You are a passionate digitally minded eCommerce innovator that can think and act strategically and creatively. You are obsessed about providing world-class brand experiences and a deep understanding of what drives and influences eCommerce sales and outstanding consumer experience.
You are a subject matter expert, knowing the right questions to ask at the right time, and providing direct leadership to brand teams so that they can reach consumers in compelling, creative ways while maximizing the return.

Location
The role will work between our Englewood Cliffs, NJ office (U.S. headquarters) and our Sundial office in Manhattan.
What You’ll Do
Position at a glance:
This person is responsible and accountable for driving media and content for portfolio of brands across Sundial and Unilever hair by analyzing and optimizing the visibility and engagement of our brands in line with our retailers’ digital strategies. This individual will drive online share through digital shelf levers, creative development, content syndication, creating and executing dynamic key word lists, and the development of digital content and media push thereby, to drive retailer traffic – across Pure Play (Amazon), Omnichannel (Walmart and Target) and Grocery customers.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Lead, in partnership with brands and a creative agency, the development of enhanced brand content (e.g., A+, Web Collage)
- Build an unparalleled shopping experience and optimize digital shelf presence and brand performance by leveraging analytic tools and techniques to understand content performance
- Work with internal pure play and omnichannel teams to build the promotion strategy, activation calendar and optimization sessions across their respective channels
- Create a robust SEO strategy for product detail pages, including a roadmap of initiatives to drive growth
- Lead the media briefing and investment process for pure play and omnichannel teams
- Analyze keywords landscape with media agency, lead optimization for search volumes and return on ad spend (ROAS)/return on investment (ROI)
- Leverage brand-provided content and modify for e-Retailer specific requirements
- Keep updated on both white hat and grey hat SEO strategies to stay within search engine guidelines
- Audit and update product detail pages on an ongoing basis
- Enhance and optimize digital shelf presence and brand performance by leveraging analytic tools and techniques to understand which content features are most highly correlated with sales lift and rank
- Improve the search ranking results of our items, the percent of products with A+/enhanced content, and increase the number of images and videos on our product detail pages
- Create unique content by identifying competitive strategies, based on site scraping and analytic tool trends. Deconstruct the competition’s content and search strategies – both quantity and quality – to ensure our brands stand out and to protect our brand positioning
- Manage budgets, develop digital marketing playbooks, and present key findings and best practices to team members and executive leadership across Beauty & Personal Care categories
- Learn and be curious and stay on top of key trends and best practices in search engine algorithms, competitive landscape, and the industry to develop winning strategies
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- At least 5-7 years of experience across the eCommerce landscape is highly preferred
- Strong business and analytical acumen
- Ability to lead a cross functional team to deliver complex global eCommerce projects
- Proven track record in optimizing Direct-To-Consumer websites and Amazon to maximize conversion
- Experience creating best in class SEM strategies, inclusive of content optimization
- Proven track record of growing online sales through managing product assortment, enhanced content, and product ratings and reviews on a major online retailer (Amazon, Walmart, Jet, Target)
- Ability to analyze website performance metrics and drive user behavior, translate metrics into actionable reporting, and grow online sales through optimization of engagement and acquisition
- Experience with the day-to-day trading operation through common platforms such as Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware), etc.
- Knowledge of technical setup activities for eCommerce platforms
