Special Packs & Displays WIP Planner

Background & Purpose of the Job This position oversees stock inventory movement within distribution centers, plants and re-pack sites prior to production by planning out quantity and timing based off special pack demand against DC stock levels. Requires working with Logistics to plan shipments, Supply Planners to align product use while using a pro-active problem-solving approach to accomplishing goals while managing expedites, tradeoffs and implement improvements to achieve KPIs. Close coordination between capacity, planning, LOT, and 3rd Party sites are critical in driving on-time production. The position is a focal point for driving over-all service targets, reducing OT, expedite cost, transship spend and creating continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency. Who You Are & What You’ll Do Use production schedules to position WIP availability on time of re-packing production. Work with Special Pack Planners and Requirement Planners to maximize customer service for the total business in choosing how and when to pull WIP for 3rd party production. Coordinate the just-in-time WIP pulls from factories and distribution centers into re-packing locations. Advocate low stock/ shortages throughout the network by conducting a root cause analysis (dependent demand issues, master data set up, manufacturing attainment, etc.) to identify the main drivers behind shortage. Interface with production sites, supply planner, special pack planners, production schedulers, and logistic teams. Conduct focused improvement activities as needed to improve performance against key KPIs (attainment losses due to WIP, OT, and transship spend). Track weekly loss coding, manage WIP transship budget and prepare monthly and YTD of all relevant metrics. Manage weekly attainment by review & driving root cause analysis with accuracy resulting in improvements and reduction of losses to meet KPI/ business target. Monitor the flow of unused cases of WIP back to the DC network if stock has not been used by the re-packer. Delivering case-fill, inventory metrics, and over-all service targets for the business. You’re a dot connector: Recognizing an opportunity and close the loop by bringing cross functional experts together to achieve an E2E process You’re a changemaker: Identify an opportunity for improving an obstacle / bottleneck, create a plan to resolution, test and implement What You’ll Need To Succeed Bachelor Degree (Business, Logistics, Operations Planning, Engineering or related fields) Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in Planning, Logistics, Customer Service or other Supply Chain roles Working knowledge of Operation Planning processes SAP, Excel and Power Point experience preferred For office-based, Research & Development, and remote positions, proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required to be eligible for employment.
