The Cardiovascular Testing Department at Union Health is looking for an EKG Tech team member for the Terre Haute campus. Union Hospital's Cardiovascular Testing department is equipped with advanced technology and trained staff to assist your Cardiologist in assessing your condition and treating you appropriately. Our staff consists of trained EKG technologists and Registered Sonographers who aide the physicians in providing the best care possible to our customers. We perform diagnostic exams for patients ranging from neonatal to a geriatric level.

EKG Tech Job Duties:
- Anticipates activity throughout department and performs any duties that are assigned by the director.
- Organizes job assignments routinely and systematically.
- Explains purpose and procedure of all exams to patient prior to the procedure while obtaining patient history and medications.
- Performs 12 lead and Signal Average Electrocardiogram, with proper lead placement, and obtaining tracing within 30 minutes on routine orders.
- Explains and instructs patient receiving the Holter Monitor or Event Recorder, the diary usage, proper lead placement, and obtaining a baseline EKG.
- Scans Holter Monitors for physicians, pulling out additional strips with the minimum of errors.
Education, Training & Experience
- Experience in EKG, treadmill, and Holter monitoring preferred.
- BLS certification.
- Must meet and deal successfully with a wide variety of people.
- Must be accomplished in written and verbal communication.
- Flexible schedule to meet the demands of the department.
