Credit Analyst
Job Summary:
Provides system-wide support of the commercial lending function through the preparation and analysis of financial statement spreads, credit information from Equifax and D & B and loan data. Identifies strengths, weaknesses and additional information needed for new and existing commercial loan customers with new loan requests or renewals of existing debt.
General Description/Duties:
prepares, and analyzes financial statement spread sheets for historical operating trends, performance ratios and cash flow.
- Prepares and delivers evaluations, proposals, and projections to executive leadership, committees, and other stakeholders.
- Collects and maintains market research and industry specific data.
- Utilizes the Query application to extract loan information as requested.
- Operation of CreditQuest Software.
- Special projects as assigned by management.
- Position will be required to comply with all Federal and State banking laws and related regulations, to include but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Will handle employee loans.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Education and/or experience equivalent to an Associate Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of one year of commercial/credit experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies used in credit analysis.
- Good analytical and organizational and skills.
- Ability to identify discrepancies and problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software, as well as analysis software, with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel, using spreadsheets and graphs.
