Imperia Engineering Partners is a wholly owned subsidiary of United Engineers & Constructors, who provides engineering services across the entire asset lifecycle, to include feasibility analysis, conceptual engineering, basic engineering, detailed engineering, procurement, construction management, commissioning, operations & management, facilities modification & repurposing, and decommissioning.
About the Job:
This individual will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience implementing standard cost and schedule programs, processes, and practices to ensure Design and Construction projects are performed in accordance with approved budgets and schedules. Develop, coordinate, organize, maintain, report and present status reporting including but not limited to scope, estimate, budget, cost, schedule, resources and equipment management, procurement, and other data for multiple small to mid-size projects.
*This will be a Full-time role expected to be in office 5 days/week.
What you'll be doing:
- Assists Project Management with project scope coordination, schedule development, estimating, execution plan input, preparation, monitoring and reporting
- Performs detailed planning and scheduling functions for multiple diverse facility projects
- Monitors and reports on project progress vs. schedule on a weekly basis
- Monitors and reports on project costs vs. budget monthly
- Assists in developing cost estimates and schedules.
- Provides accurate actual performance data and compares to forecasted data
- Conducts site visits to assess existing conditions of facilities
- Provides contractor coordination and management
- Assists with project change management by tracking and processing change order requests
- Coordinates meetings for facilities-related requests with building Operations Maintenance and Management group
- Processes facilities requests and associated documentation through MAXIMO (Asset Management Software)
What we're looking for:
Required:
- Associates degree in engineering/architecture or construction management
- Experience in Facilities
- 2 years of relevant experience required
- Working knowledge or Oracle software and how reports are structured
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Self-starter capable of seeking out project related information from project stakeholders
- Experience with Project Controls concepts (project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, reporting and closeout)
- Ability to work effectively in team environment, and highly organized, very energetic.
- Ability to prioritize, be flexible and adapt to an ever-changing work environment.
- Must have a strong work ethic; consistently demonstrates professional demeanor, appearance and attitude
- Familiarity of applicable industry codes/practices for design, construction, and safety
- Ability to coordinate and interact with Contractors
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/architecture
- Maximo software experience
