Job Title: Social Worker - LMSW (Children's Intake & Assessment)

Location: Southgate, MI 48195 (Position located at Detroit, MI)

Job Type: Full-Time Permanent

Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Pay:

• Full License:
  • Hourly: $27.78 - $37.58
  • Salary: $54,171 - $73,281
• Limited License:
  • Hourly: $25.65 - $35.21
  • Salary: $50,017.50 - $68,659.50 (Note: Pay is dependent on licensing and experience. TGC is grant-based, there is no negotiation/flexibility in the salary.)

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker with an LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker) credential to join our team specializing in Children's Intake & Assessment. The successful candidate will work at our Detroit, MI location and will be responsible for providing comprehensive intake assessments and support services to children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough intake assessments for children and families referred for services.
• Develop and implement individualized service plans based on assessment findings.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care and service delivery.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to children and families as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with agency standards and legal requirements.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
• Advocate for the needs and rights of children and their families within the community and through various service systems.
• Ensure confidentiality and ethical practice in all interactions and case management activities.

Qualifications:

• Education: Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker) in the state of Michigan. Candidates with a Limited License (LLMSW) will also be considered.
• Experience: Prior experience in child welfare, intake assessment, and family services is preferred.
• Skills:
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficient in case management and documentation.
  • Crisis intervention and problem-solving abilities.
