What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Aide position at United Helpers?
We’re seeking an activities aide to work at our Rehabilitation and Senior Care complex in Canton.
Responsibilities include organizing and assisting in carrying out activities such as, games, discussions, arts and crafts, and community outings in accordance with the resident’s needs, capabilities, and interests as determined by their Resident Care Plan, assisting residents to locations where the activities are held, and keeping the activities room and activity closets clean, neat and safe.
They will also maintain documentation as required.
Applicants must demonstrate the ability to provide supervision to residents at all events and performs other duties as assigned. A high school diploma is preferred, but not required. Applicants must possess, and maintain a valid NYS driver’s license, as some resident transport may be required.
Aides must also be willing to complete a mandatory training to assist residents during meals.
This is a full-time position with 37.5 hours of work guaranteed each week.
