What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Coordinator position at United HomeCare?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for processing of employee files/records within HRIS system throughout the employee lifecycle including but not limited to new hire processing with setting up of personnel files and records retention.
2. Assist with gathering and submitting data for annual reports (i.e., EEO-1 and ACA).
3. Under general direction, ensures timely processing of workers' compensation claims; evaluate accident reports to determine accuracy and completeness and to ensure adequate investigation.
4. Provide administrative support to one or more human resources functions, including onboarding, employee records, and/or LOA.
5. In partnership with the Director of Human Resources administer and coordinate employee engagement programs including the collaboration of events and activities of the HR department.
6. Act as the HR liaison with accounting on payroll related questions. Will serve as a backup to the Payroll Specialist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
7. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
8. Provide benefits administration support (health insurance, 401K, other plans); explain basic plan coverage and directing employees to available resources for claims problems, work with insurance agents/plan representatives/third party administrators of all plans offered, coordinate Open Enrollment activities.
9. Assist with determining employee in-services (training) and liaise with internal resources to oversee its delivery and completion.
10. Supports managers and employees in the Performance Management process and employee relations.
Performs other related duties as required.
