What will I do in this role with United Methodist Homes?
As a Human Resources Generalist, supporting our mission will include the following responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Organize and coordinates recruiting process (creates ads, manages on-line postings, schedules interviews, extends offers, schedules pre-employment physicals, conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Tracks weekly recruitment score card report and collaborates with hiring managers to ensure we fill vacant positions promptly.
- Participates in General Orientation (New Hire Orientation) and provides employees with a welcoming and positive experience.
- Supports change efforts surrounding organizational design and other organizational initiatives that support the values and mission of the organization.
- Maintains confidentiality and accurate HR files.
- Accurately enters employee information into the HRIS systems timely for transactions such as new hires, transfers, and terminations.
- Assists with coordinating benefit eligibility to include medical and 403(b) programs.
- Participates in continuous HR improvement initiatives and metrics.
- Assists with compensation planning, including increases and scaling our compensation model.
- Participates in committees when necessary.
What do I need as a Human Resources Generalist with United Methodist Homes?
- Bachelor's Degree in related field and a minimum of 2 years in a generalist role or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience with recruiting is a must. Multi-location experience preferred.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of HRIS and Payroll systems and excel spreadsheet software.
