Accounts Payable Clerk

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for efficiently processing invoices in a timely and accurate manner while providing customer service to our vendors.

What an AP Clerk does daily:

  • Accurately code invoices to appropriate account
  • Enter coded and approved invoices into Great Plains
  • Scan entered invoices
  • Match backup to and mail out checks
  • File reports and check copies
  • Research old invoices off of statements
  • Assist vendors with their accounts
  • Reconcile the Cintas invoices monthly
  • Pull Comdata information from website into excel, analyze then enter into Great Plains

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Carries out duties assigned by the Accounts Payable Lead as required.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Education or equivalent
  • 1-2 yrs. of accounts payable experience a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Great Plains experience HIGHLY preferred
  • Ability to work in a group setting
  • Clear communication skills in dealing with management, outside departments, other team members and vendors
  • Ten key by touch
  • Capable of doing general math and analytical problems
  • Ability to react to change productively and handle essential tasks as assigned
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Display professional demeanor
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Great Plains).
  • Demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedule
  • Knowledge of basic company employment policies and procedures

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting for long periods of time, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual activity
  • Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds)

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office environment
