Job Skills / Requirements
Under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Operations, the Training Manager will manage all aspects of the Training requirements for USI.  This person will work closely with the Managers to ensure compliance for all training required by law, by contract and by company policy.  The position will be located in the Massachusetts region.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Position includes on-call and response capabilities as assigned or required.  May be assigned to evenings, nights and weekends as needed, to accomplish training for all officers. 


  • Manage and direct all regional training programs.  Develop and deliver regional training and specialized training to all staff and sites.  Maintain records to compliance.  
  • Conduct New Hire Training and monitor OJT oversight and scheduling. 
  • Create and oversee monthly training sessions to meet all training requirements set by client and company needs. 
  • Develop and conduct training scenarios with staff on emergency procedures. 
  • Coordinate and Track the Security Teams’ progress on any company-wide training requirements. 
  • Conduct follow up with all new hires once they start working on post to determine if any additional training is required. 
  • Conduct recertification training as required and prepare annual training reports as required.
  • Conduct data and file certification reviews to ensure compliance with Contract, Company policy.  
  • Ensure Compliance across all jobs with State, Local and Federal Requirements.
  • Develop and review program processes to ensure they remain functional, effective and efficient.
  • Develop, recommend and review company programs to ensure continuity with company business goals and practices.
  • Track all costs for budget purposes and prepare reporting and annual budget requirements and projections for training programs. 
 
SKILL REQUIREMENTS 
 

  • Position requires excellent verbal & written communication skills.  Must have the ability to develop and write business plans, memos, spreadsheets, graphs & charts for business purposes. 
  • Must be proficient in training and leading managers and field personnel to accomplish all assigned duties. 
  • Experience in conducting investigations and providing detailed case reports a plus. 
  • Excellent computer skills with high level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other business suite programs.   
  • Must be focused on the Company’s core values and business objectives. 
  • Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards. 
  • Must be able to multi-task and self-manage in a dynamic environment.   
  • Must be knowledgeable of all company policies and procedures. 
  • Maintain effective relationships with all levels of the company and client organizations. 
 

Education Requirement 


Bachelor’s degree a requirement.  Commensurate experience may be considered.  Position requires 5 years of responsible training management experience in the security industry.
