The Pharmacy Technician Field Support is responsible for the implementation and follow through of pharmacy initiatives developed by the pharmacy team, as well as the overall operational integrity of the pharmacies in those market places.
When a guest enters my area or department, my first and most important responsibility becomes to acknowledge, greet, and engage that guest.
Maintain integrity of pharmacy operations within the legal framework provided by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, Drug Enforcement Agency, Department of Public Safety and other governmental agencies in conjunction with the policy and procedure guidelines set forth by United Supermarkets
Assure completion and compliance of goals, tasks, standards, and other job related criteria assigned to the pharmacy region
Manage and schedule the “Floater Calendar†in your region
Provide initial and ongoing training to team members in the region, including computer and policy training, as well as compliance training such as HIPAA and any other mandated compliance training.
Be responsible for “first response†to technical questions which arise in your region. Ensure the communication and integration of pharmacy operation between the pharmacies and support teams
Performs other duties as requested or required by upper management
Key Responsibilities:
Registered Pharmacy Technician with the State of Texas with license in good standing and no board violations.
Minimum of four years retail pharmacy technician experience with The United Family
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and Holidays-available to travel including overnight stays as required and be on call while pharmacies are open
Perform all other physical aspects of the job including bending, squatting, lifting, climbing, standing for 8 to 10 hour periods, and walking.
Good communication and computer skills
Excellent problem solving and management skills.
Must maintain valid driver’s license and current insurance coverage.
Ability to function as a team member and get along with others.
Ability to work independently without supervision and effectively manage time
Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
