What are the responsibilities and job description for the Computer Ops Specialist III position at United Support Services?
United Support Services, Inc., founded in 2003, is an innovative SBA certified 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran owned business headquartered in San Diego, CA. USS seeks a seasoned Computer Operation Specialist III that has experience with using audio-visual technology (photo, video, motion graphics) to create visual information productions ranging from news features, public service announcements and interactive productions, to training and informational videos on virtually any topic. Specific experience with Adobe Creative Suit and Microsoft Office is required. This position will require an onsite presence at LA Air Force Base (LAAFB).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and create artwork to include the following products: brochures, flyers, invitations, murals, posters, logos, book covers, briefing charts, certificates, checks for display, maps, sign out boards and labels, DVD blanks, jewel cases.
- Compose visual material for printing, digital, photo, or video display.
- Design and deliver products in accordance with the specifications of each work order.
- Creates audiovisual productions consisting of motion graphics, recorded sound, narration, and music as required.
- Create background and hot buttons for menu pages.
- Produce posters and signs up to 30” x 40” on mat board, foam board or gator board.
- Produce vinyl banners up to 40” x 96” on canvas.
- Produce multi-layered displays on foam board and gator board, up to 48” x 96”.
- Produce trophy type quarterly and annual award plaques.
- Produce engraved desk plates made of brass, painted brass, and phenolic plastic plates of different colors.
- Other tasks and duties as may be assigned.
Experience
- 3-6 years of work-related experience
- A high level of computer proficiency
- 3 years of experience using Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
- Detail-oriented and able to multi-task
- Excellent organizational skills
Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass a government background check.
- Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes, no less than 25lbs.
- Valid driver’s license (required)
