How you’ll contribute This position will provide expert-level consultation, strategy and input on advanced lung disease programs, studies and KOL education and support. Responsible for driving enrollment in UT-sponsored clinical studies, educating peers on evidence for early afterload reduction in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), and contributing clinical expertise to product development strategy. This position requires strong communication skills and a deep understanding PAH, PH-ILD, IPF and PPF with demonstrated excellence in clinical and medical practices. Drive enrollment in UT-sponsored clinical studies by engaging in peer-to-peer interactions and fostering site engagement Provide strategic insights to accelerate research and innovation Educate peers on evidence for early afterload reduction to improve outcomes in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), with a focus on the roles/potential roles for UT therapies Educate peer ILD clinicians on prevalence of pulmonary hypertension (PH) and benefits of screening, early diagnosis, and treatment Contribute clinical and therapeutic expertise to the Medical Affairs Research Committee (MARC) meetings (investigator sponsored studies) and product development strategy (preclinical through phase IV) Provide strategic advice to Global Medical Affairs with respect to new cardiopulmonary-related indications and markets (e.g., idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and/or progressive pulmonary fibrosis (PPF)) Engage and provide expertise to PAH, PH-ILD, and pulmonary fibrosis medical meetings and organizations to increase awareness of treatment best practices and highlight UT clinical studies and product development All other duties as required For this role you will need Minimum Requirements MD Board-certified with extensive clinical experience in pulmonology 10 years of experience working in a relevant hospital / clinical setting and/or the life sciences industry Proven track record in medical advocacy, clinical research, and therapeutic area expertise Demonstrated outstanding ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing scientific and medical information to a diverse audience of both internal and external personnel in small and large audience settings Keeping up-to-date with the latest medical advancements and healthcare management strategies Strong team, leadership, planning, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work independently Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Ability to travel up to 60% At United Therapeutics, you’ll realize quickly that it is not an ordinary place to work!
