Summary
 
The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for the management of digital marketing efforts for United Wheels’ brands. S/he will manage day-to-day digital marketing execution include paid media (paid search, display, retargeting, paid social), customer relationship management and email marketing, affiliates, and other online efforts creating integrated and compelling digital marketing campaigns. This person will be responsible for growing direct-to-consumer web traffic, conversion, and sales. The ideal candidate is strategic, creative, and adept at managing multiple programs and priorities. You must be able to work in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment and have a passion for digital marketing program and desire to build a team to support multiple brands and websites.
The DTC Digital Marketing Manager reports to the Director of DTC Sales and will work closely with the DTC, eCommerce, Brand Marketing, and IT teams.  S/he will interact cross-functionally throughout the organization to manage and optimize digital marketing efforts. This is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a growing digital team managing brands from up-starts to 125-year-old industry icons.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Responsible for the digital marketing strategy, budget, and sales across digital channels for multiple United Wheels websites.                                                     
  • Own digital marketing budget, analytics, ROAS, and ROI for each channel, including optimization of digital programs across channels. Prepares annual and monthly forecasts for traffic and sales.
  • Manage paid search execution on Google, Bing, and others, and associated landing page strategy in line with department target metrics.
  • Oversee our relationship with digital marketing agencies where applicable.
  • Create a robust test and learn strategy including A/B and multivariate testing to improve campaign efficiency and performance.
  • Own customer relationship management, email marketing strategy, and execution of each:
    • Manage promotional and email marketing calendars in partnership with ecommerce and marketing teams.
    • Design and implement triggered email campaigns across the customer lifecycle.
    • Coordinate with brand marketing on email design assets: content, messaging, promotions, and images.
    • Develop testing plans for creative, subject lines, etc.
    • Analyze results of email campaigns and refine results based on learnings.
  • Collaborate with brand marketing team to develop appropriate product placement and selling messages into paid social channels.
  • Manage affiliate marketing strategy via platform, program, partners, and offers.
  • Evaluate and select new online marketing channels & programs.
  • Develop and manage digital marketing KPIs, dashboards & reporting.         
  • Site analytics and insights.
  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager Management.
  • Analyze and provide online segmentation insights.
  • A/B testing and results measurement.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position may eventually oversee positions related to CRM, email design, and other digital relationship marketing efforts.

Digital Marketing, Website Analysis and Reporting.
Education and/or Experience
DTC Digital Marketing Manager must have a bachelor’s degree in business management, digital marketing, eCommerce, marketing, or equivalent.  A minimum of 2-4 years’ experience working across multiple digital marketing channels, including, but not limited to: paid search, paid social, email, and affiliate marketing. You must be competent in Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Facebook/IG advertising, Google Analytics, and/or digital marketing/email platforms. Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Salesforce Marketing Cloud a huge plus.
The ideal candidate combines outstanding marketing insight, creative thinking, and excellent quantitative skills. You must have a proven ability to plan and execute complex digital marketing strategies. You must be highly organized, digitally savvy, and an excellent communicator. A successful candidate will be high-energy, proactive, passionate about eCommerce/DTC technologies and able to thrive in a fast-moving, complex environment.
This position may require approximately 5% of domestic travel.
