Primary Responsibilities:
Support the Medicare bid process by partnering with the Actuarial team to value financial impact of plan benefit changes
Work cross-functionally to support the Medicare contract novation / county expansion process by creating and providing proforma financial projections to Regulatory Finance
Oversee and maintain the competitor intelligence research and analysis process including competitor growth projections, financial tracking, and analyst report consolidation
Manage a team of at least one finance professional
Assist in preparing reports or presentations for executive leadership
Develop or improve upon existing financial models to continuously improve deliverables and processes
Assist with data validation and material preparation for UNH Earnings Releases and Investor Conferences
Various ad hoc analyses and reports as necessary
Manage shifting priorities and pivot to urgent requests as needed

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
4 years of progressive financial experience
1 years of mentoring or managing others
Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office product suite
Proven solid executive presence, communication, and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders
Proven ability to work collaboratively across a matrix environment to positively influence business partners
Preferred Qualifications:
Finance experience in healthcare
Experience with Hyperion Smartview / Essbase
SAS experience
Competencies:
Solid financial, analytical, and business acumen
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to build solid relationships at all levels of the organization
Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
