In the interest of protecting the health and safety of all patients, associates, and guests, Unity Health has classified some positions as “safety sensitive.” A “safety sensitive” position is any job position in which impaired performance could result in harm to the health and/or safety of self or others. Any associate that is actively engaged in the use of medical marijuana, even if in possession of a valid medical marijuana card, will be excluded from employment in a “safety sensitive” position.
DESCRIPTION:
The Driver/Technician uses sales, service and educational skills to ensure safe delivery, set up and use of equipment and maintains the quality provider image for the organization in the community. The Driver/Technician will deliver, set up, pick up and maintain and service all Home Care Equipment as well as do monthly rounds on patients. The Driver/Technician will also need to fill out and maintain paperwork on all patients and equipment. They will be required to take after hours call and have the ability to respond to phone calls within 30 minutes and make emergency deliveries within 2 hours of receiving the call. The Driver/ Technician will also make rounds to the hospital for supplies, mail, and perform other duties as required.
2. Training and Experience:
- Experience in durable medical equipment rental preferred but not required.
- Clean driving record
- Valid AR Driver’s License
- Ability to lift 80 -100 lbs safely
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on all DME equipment according manufacturer’s specifications.
