Primary Purpose:
Responsible for leading and ensuring effective sales order management. Serves as primary point of contact to provide a consistent, positive experience.
Supports ChemCare (Environmental Services) sales team and customers by performing such tasks as preparing waste manifests, coordinate and oversee the logistics of waste pick-ups, performing account research and communicating customer activities to sales.
Empowered to make decisions on behalf of the company in alignment with Univar strategy.
Overall duties will be defined by the needs of the Customer and will be in support of any sales strategy as deemed appropriate by the ChemCare Sales Support Supervisor and Customer Service Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Process customer orders received by telephone, email and fax
- Verify information in Sales Force & UVX is accurate
- Responsible for order entry, waste paperwork preparation and mailing to customer or branch
- Verifies and confirms customer orders and pick-up expectations
- Oversees all details involving customer pick-ups such as scheduling transportation, delivery slots and requesting appropriate truck equipment
- Serves as primary contact for customer inquiries such as waste summary reports, research, invoice, certificate of destruction and manifest requests
- Maintain inventory of supplies for resale including drums, boxes, pails, sample kits
- Establishes communication with appropriate internal Univar personnel to ensure timely responses to customers (e.g. Operations, Sales, Sales Support)
- Creates mutually beneficial relationships with customers through establishment of rapport coupled with responsiveness to customer needs (return messages, timely follow-through)
- Maintains up-to-date information on customers (contacts, delivery hours, equipment requirements)
- Fulfill customer’s expectations with realistic commitments
- Delivers timely and accurate information to customers and business partners both verbally and in writing
- Understands Univar’s vision, mission statement and safety program
- Supports team goals
- Is receptive, flexible and adaptable to change

Education:
- Zero to two years with a degree and/or prior customer service and/or sales experience
- Minimum 2-plus years prior customer service, Univar, and/or sales experience without a degree.
