POSITION SUMMARY:
Coordinates and manage day-to-day operations and personnel of accounting department. Oversee the daily operations of all accounting functions. Performs direct assignments from the CFO; Responsible to determine that the Bank complies with laws and regulations applicable to financial matters Responsible for all regulatory reporting requirements
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Directs the general accounting group and is responsible for maintaining a system to account for the financial activities of the Bank and Holding Company.
· Responsible for managing the Accounts Payable process, Liquidity Management, General Accounting areas to ensure that each area is functioning appropriately and that reports are produced are accurate and prepared on a timely basis.
· Provide assistance to other corporate departments regarding accounting related matters.
· Responsible for managing the Accounts Payable process and Cash Management and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of these processes.
· Responsible for the managing and overseeing the monthly general ledger certification process.
· Responsible for the daily review and oversight of the daily changes to the balance sheet and income statement and report significant changes to management
· Responsible for the handing the accounting for bank-owned life insurance “BOLI”.
· To maintain legal cash liquidity as required; and make recommendation to CFO to invest excess cash and liquidity funds, considering optimum return and safety of investment; to sell or redeem liquidity funds to provide cash; to recommend borrowing from the Federal Home Loan Bank
· Responsible for preparation and review of the quarterly FDIC Call Report and other regulatory reports related to the Holding Company such as the FRY reports.
· Responsible for reviewing the preparation of the financial statements for the Asset/Liability and Board of Directors and preparation and delivery of the financial highlights.
· Coordinate the audit of the accounting area (accounting, accounts payable and fixed asset areas) and providing requisite information for the accounting area for regulatory examinations and external auditors.
· Responsible for the general ledger closing process and ensuring all entries are recorded in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
· Preparing annual performance reviews for all staff within the accounting area.
· Updating and maintaining accounting policies and procedures and ensuring that they are approved on an annual basis.
· Coordinates the training of department personnel on bank compliance policies and procedures.
· Implements research and/or analysis of accounts, process and systems as directed by the CFO.
· Performs other duties or assignments as requested by management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
