This full-time opportunity in the Intake Department offers 36 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday Wednesday), full benefits, and a convenient overnight shift schedule.

Mayhill Hospital located in Denton, TX just north of Dallas and Fort Worth, is a 59-bed private psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care for adults and seniors. We are one of the few facilities in the area that can provide care to those individuals with both coexisting psychiatric and medical conditions. We are uniquely trained to provide care to seniors who have exhausted their psychiatric days. Position Summary

The Intake Nurse is responsible for assisting in the process of responding to referrals and other requests for services and information. Provides technical assistance to the admission process, under the direction of the Director of Intake and provides general support to the case management program when facilitating appropriate dispositions adherent to hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.

Experience: Preferably two or more years experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting. A minimum of two (2) years experience in a psychiatric hospital setting including customer contact preferred.

Licensure: RN licensed to practice in the State of Texas.

Additional Requirements: An extensive working knowledge of the DSM-V, ICD-10, and the Mental Status Exam. Additionally, an extensive working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field preferred. CPR certification and training in appropriate use of CPI Non-violent Crisis Intervention before department orientation and prior to assisting in a restraining process. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.

Work hours: Day or Night shift is available. Must work 12-hour shifts. 7am - 7pm or 7pm - 7am. Rotating Weekends.
