What are the responsibilities and job description for the HUB Branch Sales Associate position at University Book Store Inc.?
University Book Store’s HUB branch is looking for an upbeat people-person to join our team! Our HUB branch is located in the Husky Union Building on the UW Seattle campus. The primary merchandise categories for this location are student supplies, Husky gear, and gifts; this is not a bookseller position. This is an 8 hour/week position with a set schedule and requires that you provide excellent and enthusiastic customer service at all times.
As a Sales Associate, your typical day might include the following:
- Greet and engage customers.
- Process sales and return transactions.
- Assist customers in finding the merchandise they need.
- Keep the sales floor clean and tidy.
- Stock and re-stock merchandise as needed.
- Assist with opening and/or closing duties.
- Perform other duties as needed.

This is an hourly position with a set schedule of 8 hours per week. The primary schedule is as follows, though hours may change as seasonal and business needs dictate:
Monday-Wednesday OFF
Thursday & Friday 12PM-4PM
Saturday & Sunday OFF

The wage for this position is $17.28/hour, and benefits include merchandise discount, employee assistance program, and subsidized bus pass.
