Description
- Assists in safe, efficient, endoscopic procedures that physicians will use as a tool for making a diagnosis for Adult patients.
- They will be proficient in endoscopic equipment set up and maintenance of such equipment.
- The technician will assist in the education of patients and families under the direction of the physician.
- They will cross train to assist in procedures as needed.
- The technician will also be responsible for appropriate specimen distribution, procedure documentation and allocation of paperwork and billing.
- Assists with endoscopic procedures and patient testing.
- Provides accurate documentation, billing and generates reports.
- Maintains equipment.
- Inventories supplies.
- Participate in staff development and actively pursues professional and self development.
- Two years experience in an Endoscopic Lab preferred.
- Must possess strong computer skills.
- Able to work independently.
- Able to troubleshoot diagnostic equipment.
