Job Description
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We have two unique opportunities supporting teaching of Year 3 medical students undertaking our Clinical Methods course. These roles are will be responsible to recruit patients who are inpatients in Waitakere Hospital and North Shore Hospital, to take part in bedside teaching with Clinical Methods Tutors (doctors).
There are two vacancies; one part time, fixed term position at North Shore Hospital and one part time, fixed term position at Waitakere Hospital. These roles will be from 15 August to 13 October; no work is required during student University Holidays when they arise.
Both roles require a Registered Nurse with a current Practising Certificate with a minimum of two years nursing experience within New Zealand and a current validated CPR and/or Advanced Life Support certification.
Job Details are as follows:
North Shore Hospital
0.4FTE; 15 hours per week to be completed over Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings before 12pm

Remuneration: $82,200 pro rated to the part time hours of each role.

Mō tō mātou rōpū | About the team
Waitemata Clinical Campus is part of the School of Medicine, located at North Shore Hospital and Waitakere Hospital. It provides clinical education to cohorts of medical students, mainly in Years 4, 5 and 6 of the six-year medical course. The School of Medicine also runs a 7-week course for Year 3 medical students to give them a first introduction or life on hospital wards, and to how to take and report a clinical history and examination. This course is known as the Clinical Methods Course.
