Departmental Overview
The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics consists of more than 275 staff members and coaches and sponsors 30 varsity sports programs. These 30 programs include more than 850 student-athletes who participate in the various sports programs annually within the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA). We are currently seeking a Director of Football Recruiting Operations.

Responsibilities
The Director of Football Recruiting Operations will apply professional concepts that are essential to the successful execution of the football recruiting unit.
Administrative duties assigned to this position will include but not be limited to recruiting budget management, prospect travel logistics, prospective student-athlete academic evaluations. Recruiting unit support emphasis will vary by time of year based on a cyclical recruiting calendar. In-season support will focus on finalizing incoming recruit classes for early and traditional signing days while off-season support will be evaluation based.
Work on behalf of Cal Football with Athletic Compliance Services. This position provides key support in areas of academic evaluation and admissions support.
Organize outreach to prospective student-athletes on behalf of recruiting unit. This includes content creation and implementation of most current and relevant 75 week written and digital recruiting plan.
Provide critical logistical support for all on campus visits, official and unofficial. Assist recruiting unit with all mandatory NCAA paperwork as required per athletic department compliance services.
Oversee maintenance of files, database and reporting for all recruiting related data management.
Monitor NCAA legislation changes and work collaboratively with recruiting staff and coaching staff to provide regular educational sessions as needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Advanced knowledge of the sport of football.
Ability to use sound judgment in responding to concerning issues.
Must maintain current knowledge of applicable rules and regulations of the Pacific-12 Conference, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), as well as other associations and agencies to which the Berkeley campus and the University of California adheres, and, at all times avoid any and all violations of these rules and standards.
Effective listening skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
Must be proficient in the use of multiple computer applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of program activity and best practices.
Highly developed problem-solving skills.
Previous experience working at the major college football level.
Ability to multi-task and work in a very busy/ stressful environment with frequent interruptions.
Strong organizational skills and ability to accomplish multiple tasks within a demanding timeframe.
Salary & Benefits
