The Project Policy Analyst learns to use professional concepts to conduct and / or support analytical studies or projects. Works on problems of limited scope. Acquires skills to fully analyze issues and problems, gather data and information, find and evaluate alternatives and make sound recommendations.
The Project Policy Analyst will support one Principal Investigator (PI) in research and policy projects focusing on health and health care professionals in nursing home settings across the U.S. The individual will support a multidisciplinary team conducting research on a National Institute on Aging funded research project.
The Project Policy Analyst is an entry- level position responsible for literature searches, reviewing surveys for quality; identifying data and information through web searches, data entry, and reviewing and formatting written reports and papers. The individual will participate in recruiting and interviewing survey/study respondents. In addition, this position will assist with organizing and coding qualitative data and other research analyses as needed.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
- Skills to learn organization-specific and other computer application programs.
- Basic communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
- Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.
- Basic skills to analyze and research information and learn to synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail.
- Basic program and project management skills. Acquiring knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques.
